Kisaya's hassun obi(eight-inch obi)

Kisaya Obi started with a simple question: "Is there a way to tie a more ideal Tunodashi knot with a half-width obi(hanhaba obi)?"
Through trial and error, I went through a process of bringing my ideas to life, and finally, Kisaya's half-width obi was completed.
The method of attachment is the original "tunodashi musubi" method.
By applying that method to the "hassun obi," I was able to easily create a hassun obi for kisaya.
The way it's attached is slightly different from "hanhaba obi," but the concept is exactly the same.

At kisaya, our goal was to create a sturdy, large tunodashi musubi, similar to those used during the Edo period.
As a result.we created a obi that can be tied in both large and small sizes.
The tsunodashi musubi, which has existed since the Edo period, is thought to have become widely popular because it can be tied without the need for obisime or obiage (sash ties).
We have a desire to revive "tsunodashi musubi," which was born from such ancient Japanese wisdom.
